Lost & Found: Family Photos Swept Away by the 3.11 East Japan Tsunami, at the Centre for Contemporary of Photography, Melbourne. 

This is an atmospheric and profoundly moving exhibition of photographs that was found and recovered from the devastation of the tsunami that affected the people of East Japan, which took place in the Tohoku region in 2011. The tsunami not only swept the harbour away, but also houses, cars, trains; and many people lost their lives. Although no longer in the media, people in this region are still in great need. These photographs remind us of their presence and make us aware of their silent voices. The exhibition also gives us an opportunity to think about the relationship people have with their photographs.
